Who We Are
The Point is a church in Knoxville, TN, passionately committed to one thing: connecting you to a growing and reproducing relationship with Jesus.
God’s not angry, distant, or waiting for you to figure life out on your own. He's not concerned with the life you’ve lived, the clothes you wear, or if you know the right answers. As such, neither are we. The Point is a place where you can come as you are. Bring your imperfections, your questions, and even your doubts. Experience the love of a real God for your real life.
Together, we can connect with God and discover His great plans for your life.
Where We've Been
The Point first gathered in 2010 with the help of Grace Lutheran Church and the Mid-South District of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS).
For almost ten years, we met in non-traditional spaces (movie theaters) with the hope of being a safe and approachable place for those who'd been pushed away from church.
With the move to a historic building, we hope to bring that same heart to the Downtown North neighborhood of Knoxville. No matter where we gather, we always strive to make The Point a safe place to ask questions, wrestle with doubts, and be real with God and each other.
If you've ever thought you weren't good enough, wealthy enough, or *fill in the blank* enough to be loved by Jesus or His church, we are here to show you otherwise.
